Deborah Groening-Rother, Psy.D.
Founder, Clinic Director
Exploring my early childhood through psychoanalytic treatment was life changing for me. Despite all surface indicators that I should have had a happy childhood, I did not. I founded Well Baby Center to help others heal as I have, by providing applied psychoanalytic services that are short-term and affordable, with a special focus on early life and unconscious processes. I love building the systems and teams that help organizations run well. And, as the father of a toddler, I can’t imagine a better way to contribute to my community than supporting other families to make connections and build a strong foundation for their children.
Ellyn Singer, Psy.D.
Senior Clinical Supervisor, Counseling
I love this profession and want our Associates to love it too. I didn’t always connect with my supervisors and that motivates me to be accessible and to find ways to connect with each Associate. I emphasize the importance of deep work and exploring patients’ early life as the foundation of good practice.
Rebekka Hefford, M.F.T.
Lead Faciliator and Trainer
Families are the bedrock of society. By helping Well Baby Center’s team of compassionate clinicians think deeply about and respond sensitively to families and children in need of support, I feel inspired that I am contributing to a stronger, more loving, more empowered world.
Sophie Levy, M.F.T.
Lead Facilitator and Trainer
Well Baby Center allows me to work with a demographic that I believe is often invisible: mothers and parents who are struggling. To know that we provide a valuable oasis for them makes me feel that this work is not only worthwhile but crucial.
Helena Vissing, M.S., Psy.D.
Supporting a mother’s wellbeing allows me to ensure a child’s future. By supporting a mother’s transition into motherhood, I help her connect with her child, a connection that will impact them for a lifetime.
The parent-child bond is the earliest and most impactful relationship for a child. The stronger this bond is at the beginning, the happier a child will be, and sometimes creating that mindful connection requires help. Being able help families strengthen this bond is rewarding, and I am so excited to be a part of it.
Marketing and Development Associate
I love working at Well Baby Center because every day I fight the stigma associated with mental illness. I enjoy encouraging the beautiful process of self-healing and letting people know that there is no shame in asking for help.
Katy O' Donnell, Associate M.F.T.
Counselor and Group Facilitator
I came to this work later in life after experiencing my own growth and healing through psychodynamic therapy. Interweaving what I have learned personally and professionally as a nurse, mother and now therapist, I am so grateful to continue to learn and grow as a therapist at the Well Baby Center.
Heather Ward, Associate M.F.T.
Counselor and Group Facilitator
I love the Mindful Parenting Groups at Well Baby Center. The children show us so much through their play and interactions. The processing that we all do together is so powerful for the attachment and attunement between parent and child.
